For over two decades, Tacoma has been the de facto choice for the everyday worker. Why? Because it is built on a foundation that consists of reliability, capability and durability. iSeecars.com reported in 2017 that 2.5% of Tacomas on the road have 200,000 or more miles on the odometer. Under the hood, the available 3.5-liter V6, which produces 278 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft. of torque, can tow up to 6,800 pounds. Lastly, the Tacoma can handle a maximum payload of up to 1,440 pounds thanks to its wide rear bed.
What's New For 2020?
The Tacoma enters 2020 sporting new enhancements to the rugged TRD Pro model, as well as some miscellaneous updates across the lineup.
The SX Package Available on Tacoma SR, the SX package adds more appeal to the already stylish Tacoma. This appearance package adds a splash of black to the exterior, specifically to keyed accents such as mirror caps and door handles – as well as to the 16-inch alloy wheels – giving Tacoma a sportier look.
Pro-Grade Enhancements On the other end of the spectrum, the TRD Pro trim receives a number of equipment upgrades. The Desert Air Intake, silver skid plate and TRD Pro exhaust are all available options, while a power moonroof and six JBL® speakers (for models equipped with the 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission) are now standard. TRD Pro is also available in Army Green exterior color, which is an exclusive option.
